General working hours are 40‑48 hours per week. Shift times vary from day, evening, night and weekend. You may also be required to work away during peak seasons and be included in the on‑call rota, particularly if you have a company van.
Your Role as an M5 Traffic Management Operative- Conduct Traffic Counts: gather essential data and communicate with clients and subcontractors to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain Temporary Traffic Lights: keep them in top condition for safe and efficient traffic flow.
- Deploy Traffic Management Solutions: install, maintain and remove temporary traffic management equipment including cones, signs, frames, sandbags and other essential equipment.
- Mentor New Trainees: share knowledge and guide new team members.
- Qualifications:
Minimum M5, SLG will be considered. - Knowledge: familiarity with Chapter 8 regulations.
- Driving Licence:
Full licence with no more than 6 points; any driving bans must have expired at least 5 years ago. - Testing: must pass a drug and alcohol test (offer contingent on results).
- Attitude: positive, “can‑do” mindset.
- Skills:
adaptability, flexibility and meticulous attention to detail. - Flexibility: able to work weekends, nights and work away as required.
- Traffic Management Training: subject to signing a training agreement.
