Pentaho Consultant

We require an experienced Pentaho consultant to conduct a technical health-check on a complex project and make recommendations as appropriate. The initial assignment will be for a couple of days. Specifically, To perform a thorough analysis of the emerging solution using Pentaho expertise and provide recommendations on the implementation that would help you leverage the platform to the maximum

The consultant will also need to be able to guide the development team on a number of technical issues. You will need to be able to quickly understand and digest work to date on this project which uses a number of leading-edge technologies. Essentials would be knowledge of Pentaho Data Integration (PDI) and using it to integrate with Hadoop, HDFS and Hive.

Particularly useful would be experience of building XML using PDI.

An experienced developer with sound XML building skills who also has some of the above should be sufficient.

Some of the work he/she would have done could include:

• General Business Intelligence / Warehouse project work
• Some Public sector work
• Security Cleared if at all possible
• Audit related data plus database and report layout bottlenecks
• PDI related types of database connections
• Application server related detailed checks
• Review of the current deployment architecture
• Review of security framework – authentication and authorisation
• Comprehensive check-list to ensure system can be made pervasive
