Location: Shrewsbury based with UK‑wide travel

An established engineering solutions provider is seeking a Junior Field Service Engineer to support installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair activities across a diverse customer base. This role is ideal for a multi‑skilled engineer who enjoys a varied position involving travel, technical problem‑solving, customer interaction, and hands‑on engineering work.

• Carry out installation, commissioning, servicing, and repair of electro‑mechanical equipment.
• Provide reactive and planned maintenance support across a range of customer sites around the UK and occasionally abroad
• Diagnose faults and perform repairs on electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems.
• Undertake strip‑down, rebuild, and testing of equipment within the workshop.
• Maintain accurate service reports, documentation, and job records.
• Travel across the UK and occasionally abroad as required.

• Completed apprenticeship or equivalent
• An interest in working on electrical/electronic systems
• Basic mechanical aptitude with ideally some experience in strip‑down and rebuild
• Ability to interpret electrical diagrams, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation.
• An ambition to learn and develop – lots of training will be provided
• An understanding of engineering principles and a root cause analysis mindset
• Flexible approach to working hours, travel, and varying job demands.
• Good communication skills and the ability to deliver excellent customer service.
• Competent IT skills for reporting, documentation, and communication.
• A valid UK driving licence and passport.
• NVQ Level 3 in electronics or mechanical.
