• You are the technical representative for all technical aspects within your organization.
Your Responsibilities- Technically assists Service Sales organization with help, creating and conducting CIACs, participate in important customer events/meetings.
- Consult end customers and local representatives of engine builders on upgrade possibilities, system performance and new technical offerings.
- Understand customers' needs and translate into suggestions for product improvements, give structured feedback to HQ.
- Conduct failure and warranty investigations of turbochargers, aligned with HQ guidelines and other Technical Manager practices.
- Autonomously lead standard failure investigations, including proposal for commercial warranty decisions. Timely release of investigation reports to customer.
- Support & coordinate ongoing upgrade projects, turbocharger modification programs and field tests.
- Full responsibility for management of selection/training/coaching of local technical advisors (LTAs).
- Support service engineers, service coordinators, operators & service sales in technical queries.
- Exchange experiences with other global Technical Managers regularly.
- Travel occasionally needed throughout the UK to customer offices and sites.
- University degree in marine or mechanical engineering preferred or proven track record in similar role/industry
- 3 years practical working experience with turbochargers or reciprocating engine
- Experience with B2B customer contact
- English Speaker
- Good interpersonal communication skills
- Coaching / managing skills
- Proactiveness, willingness to excel
- Solid technical background is compulsory (e.g. application know‑how engine Turbocharger)
- Customer orientation and ability to handle critical & challenging customer situations
- Legally eligible to work in UK
