Engineering Manager

Overview

Birmingham — £50,000 - £60,000 + car, bonus & benefits

This dynamic, global manufacturing business is seeking to appoint a progressive Engineering Manager who will lead a talented small team of engineers in a production environment. Working closely with internal teams as well as externally with customers, you will be responsible for driving standards and providing leadership within the Engineering function of the business.

• Lead the engineering excellence within a production environment, actively developing and mentoring the engineering team.
• Lead on the design, development and delivery of complex products and projects.
• Drive continuous improvement within engineering processes and improve the capacity to consistently deliver projects within tight time frames.
• Evaluate existing processes and procedures and evolve them in line with industry standards and best practice.
• Provide hands-on support across all engineering and product-related activities.
• Champion complete adherence to safety, quality and regulatory requirements.

• Possess a qualification background in Mechanical, Electrical or Production Engineering.
• Demonstrable experience in an engineering management capacity.
• Knowledge of hydraulics and electrics would be desirable.
• Background in the management of engineering projects.
• Proven ability to manage people and support their development.
• Comfortable working on international project teams.
