Year 6 Teacher – Full-Time Supply (Summer Term)
We are working with a welcoming and supportive primary school in the Telford area who are seeking an experienced and confident Year 6 Teacher to join their team on a full-time supply basis for the Summer Term.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who enjoys the challenge and reward of working in Upper KS2, particularly supporting pupils through their final term of primary education.
About the Role- Full-time teaching commitment for the Summer Term
- Full responsibility for a Year 6 class
- Delivering engaging, structured lessons with a focus on consolidation and transition to secondary school
- Ideally, the school would like the successful candidate to take responsibility for planning; however, planning support can be provided upon negotiation
- Supporting pupils academically and pastorally during an important stage of their learning
- Working closely with an experienced leadership team and supportive colleagues
- PPA time provided in line with school expectations
- A friendly, community-focused primary school with a strong team ethos
- Well-behaved pupils who are motivated and eager to learn
- Clear routines, expectations, and established systems in place
- Supportive senior leadership who value supply staff and provide guidance where needed
- A positive, inclusive environment where staff feel welcomed and supported
- Hold QTS (or equivalent)
- Have recent experience teaching in Upper KS2, ideally Year 6
- Be confident delivering the Year 6 curriculum and supporting end-of-key-stage learning
- Have strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Be adaptable, reliable, and committed for the full term
