Smile Education are delighted to be supporting a welcoming and well-regarded mainstream primary school in Telford in their search for an experienced Year 1 Teacher to join their team as soon as possible on an ongoing basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and dedicated teacher who has strong Key Stage 1 experience and a proven ability to support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) within a mainstream classroom.

The school is known for its supportive leadership team, inclusive ethos, and strong relationships with the local community, creating a positive environment for both staff and pupils.

• Full class teaching responsibility within a Year 1 classroom
• Planning and delivering creative and engaging lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum
• Supporting and differentiating learning for pupils with SEND
• Working collaboratively with teaching assistants, SEND staff, and parents
• Creating a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Previous experience teaching Key Stage 1 (Year 1 preferred)
• Strong experience supporting pupils with SEND in a mainstream setting
• Good knowledge of phonics and early years literacy development
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• A positive, flexible and committed approach to teaching
