Year 4/5 Teacher (Mixed Class) - Full Time

📍 Telford 📅 Immediate Start | Until End of Academic Year | Potential for Permanent Role

Aspire People are currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming, rural-feel primary school in Telford for an experienced and adaptable Year 4/5 Teacher to lead a mixed‑age Key Stage 2 class on a full‑time basis for the remainder of the academic year, with the potential for a permanent position for the right candidate.

This is an exciting opportunity for a confident KS2 practitioner who thrives in a supportive, community‑focused environment and has experience managing mixed‑age classes.

The Role

As the Year 4/5 Teacher, you will:

  • Take full classroom responsibility for a mixed Year 4 and Year 5 class
  • Plan and deliver engaging, well‑differentiated lessons across the KS2 curriculum
  • Effectively manage planning and progression for two year groups
  • Use assessment data to inform teaching and raise attainment
  • Provide tailored support and differentiation, including for pupils with SEN
  • Foster independence, resilience, and a positive classroom culture
  • Work closely with colleagues, parents, and support staff
The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Has recent experience teaching in Key Stage 2
  • Has experience planning for mixed‑age or mixed‑ability classes (desirable)
  • Has strong knowledge of the KS2 national curriculum
  • Has experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Demonstrates strong behaviour management and organisational skills
  • Is adaptable, proactive, and committed to raising standards
