Aspire People are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support children with additional needs in a school in Telford. This is a full-time, long-term role that offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of children who require additional support to thrive in the classroom.

• Assist the class teacher in providing inclusive and tailored lessons for children with special educational needs (SEN).
• Offer one-to-one or small group support to pupils with additional needs.
• Help implement individual learning plans (ILPs) and monitor student progress.
• Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for all students.
• Encourage and promote students  social and emotional development.
• Assist during break times and lunchtime when needed.
• Build strong, positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents.

• Experience working with children with additional needs is essential.
• A relevant qualification in Special Educational Needs (SEN) or education is desirable but not essential; experience is equally valued.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students.
• A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).
