An excellent opportunity has arisen for a passionate and motivated PE Teacher to join a forward-thinking secondary school on a long-term basis, starting immediately.
This role is ideal for a committed teacher who is enthusiastic about promoting physical education, teamwork and healthy lifestyles, while delivering engaging and inclusive lessons to students of varying abilities.
Key Responsibilities of the PE teacher
- Plan and deliver high-quality PE lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Teach practical and theoretical aspects of Physical Education across relevant key stages
- Create a positive, inclusive and safe learning environment for all students
- Motivate and inspire pupils to achieve their full potential in sport and physical activity
- Assess, monitor and track student progress, providing constructive feedback
- Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies
- Contribute to extracurricular sports clubs, fixtures or enrichment activities where required
- Work collaboratively with the PE department and wider staff team
- Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Have experience teaching PE in a secondary school setting
- Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Be reliable, adaptable and committed to a long-term placement
- Have a genuine passion for sport, fitness and student development
