Teaching Assistant – Maternity Leave Cover until 31st July 2026
NJC Telford & Wrekin SCP 3 - £12.85 per hour
Term Time Only (43.51 weeks per year)
31.25 hours per week

The Headteacher and governors are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our school to cover a maternity leave post until 31st July 2026 in the first instance. You should be passionate about creating exceptional learning experiences for children in a fun, caring, and supportive environment. A strong commitment to teamwork, a positive “can‑do” attitude, a good sense of humour, and the willingness to go the extra mile are essential.
In this role, you will provide class support and should have experience working with children, adapting and extending learning within a safe, stimulating, and inclusive setting. Collaborating closely with the class teacher, you will help deliver high-quality learning opportunities for all pupils. This may involve leading structured small‑group or one‑to‑one activities to ensure every child can access the curriculum. Experience in delivering whole‑class learning is desirable, along with the ability to make lessons engaging and hands‑on, fostering a genuine love of learning.

- Have excellent subject knowledge.
