Specialist Subcontractor

A well-established specialist subcontractor based in Telford is looking to recruit an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team.

This is a great opportunity for someone with around 2+ years’ experience in quantity surveying to develop their career within a busy and supportive commercial environment, working on a range of construction projects.

The Role

Working closely with the Commercial Manager and senior members of the commercial team, you will assist with the day-to-day commercial management of projects from contract award through to final account.

Responsibilities will include assisting with cost control and financial reporting, preparing and submitting valuations and applications for payment, managing variations, supporting the procurement of subcontractors and materials, assisting with subcontractor accounts, and helping with final accounts and project close-out. You will also liaise with project managers, site teams and clients throughout the lifecycle of projects.

A degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related construction discipline would be beneficial but is not essential.
