This is a field-based role with regular travel to UK project sites, combined with remote working and occasional office attendance in the North West.
Responsibilities: Health & Safety Oversight
- Support the safe delivery of construction and energy projects across the business
- Provide day-to-day H&S advice and guidance to project, construction, and site teams
- Support the practical application of CDM Regulations across multiple projects
- Act as a visible, approachable H&S point of contact for internal teams and contractors
- Provide H&S input during pre-construction, planning, and mobilisation phases
- Attend site meetings, reviews, and project workshops to advise on risks and mitigation
- Work collaboratively with delivery teams to develop proportionate, workable controls
- Undertake regular visits to live industrial and client sites across the UK
- Engage directly with clients on H&S matters during site visits and meetings
- Build strong working relationships with contractors, site teams, and client representatives
- Work closely with project, construction, and operations teams to support safe delivery
- Provide input to senior stakeholders and escalate issues where appropriate
- Support the development and maintenance of H&S documentation and processes
- Carry out site inspections, audits, and reviews
- Contribute to continuous improvement in how health and safety is applied across projects
- Proven experience in private-sector construction health & safety roles within live project environments
- Strong, up-to-date working knowledge of CDM Regulations with the ability to apply them practically on site
- Experience working in industrial, manufacturing, or process environments
- Comfortable operating on site and engaging directly with project teams, contractors, and clients
- Clear, confident communicator able to engage with site operatives through to senior stakeholders
- Calm, measured approach to managing risk and competing priorities
- Pragmatic, solutions-focused mindset
- NEBOSH Certificate (minimum)
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly
- Experience supporting energy generation or complex industrial projects
- Involvement in improving H&S processes, systems, or documentation
- Permanent, full-time role
