As part of their continued growth, our client are now seeking an experienced and proactive Quantity Surveyor (Projects division) to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in project delivery within a company that values quality, collaboration, and professional development.
Role details:
Salary - £45,000 - £50,000 per annum
Office location - Telford, Shropshire (Hybrid working available for 1-2 days in the office)
There's a possibility for a company car package for the right candidate
Working hours - Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm
The Quantity Surveyor will have full responsibility for the commercial and contractual management of projects, including formal communication with clients and the supply chain.
Key responsibilities include:
* Management, preparation, and issuance of all contractual notices to both clients and subcontractors
* Creation, issue, and agreement of Subcontract Orders, including negotiation and agreement of contract terms, schedules, and commercial provisions
* Ongoing commercial management of the supply chain in line with agreed contract terms
* Full adoption and day-to-day utilisation of our construction management software, Procore (training provided)
* Preparation and management of Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs)
* Collation and submission of interim Applications for Payment
* Agreement and close-out of Final Accounts with clients and the supply chain
* Commercial reporting to senior management with clear, accurate, and timely information
* Supporting project teams with contractual and commercial advice where required
About the successful candidate...
* Proven experience in a Quantity Surveying role within construction, ideally within M&E or building services
* Strong understanding of contract administration and commercial risk management
* Demonstrable experience issuing formal contractual correspondence and notices
* Experience preparing and issuing Subcontract Orders and managing subcontractor accounts
* Comfortable working with structured digital systems and defined commercial processes
* Organised, commercially aware, and able to work with minimal supervision
* Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills
Relevant experience/qualifications:
* Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related construction discipline or...
* Equivalent industry experience with a minimum of 5 years in a commercial / quantity surveying role within the construction industry
