Team Leader (Residential)

Hours:

Permanent / Full‑Time – 37 hours per week
Salary: £31,000 per annum

About the Service

Acorn Way is one of Action for Children’s newest homes, offering a calm and nurturing setting for up to four children. What You’ll Be Doing

You will play a vital role in supporting children with physical and learning disabilities. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading, motivating and supervising a dedicated care team to deliver high standards of care.
  • Overseeing the development and delivery of individual care plans and providing positive relationships with children and families.
  • Maintaining the highest standards of safeguarding and well‑being.
  • Step in to support the management team when they are not on the premises, ensuring the service runs safely at all times.
Qualifications & Experience

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Child Care or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of disability and experience in children’s residential care.
  • Excellent communication skills, confident decision‑making and a can‑do attitude.
  • Experience in direct line management to a residential staff team.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and deliver direct line management.
