Purchase Ledger Administrator - 3 Month FTC

Reconomy Connect is transforming waste management through technology and sustainability. We are looking for a Purchase Ledger Administrator to join the Finance team at our Telford head office on a fixed‑term contract.

About the Role

Reporting to the Accounts Payable Team Leader, you will reconcile purchase invoices against contracted movements, resolve queries, and support the team in maintaining accurate financial records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure supplier invoices are received by the deadline.
  • Collect and verify proof of delivery.
  • Reconcile and match invoices to orders using the bespoke system.
  • Request missing documentation from service providers and ensure prompt receipt.
  • Investigate and resolve invoice queries, liaising with internal and external teams.
  • Notify service providers of invoice queries within agreed timescales.
  • Maintain strong supplier relationships.
  • Liaise with treasury regarding payments.
  • Follow procedures to recover costs and reconcile supplier statements where required.
What We’re Looking For
  • College leaver or recent graduate in Accounting & Business, or current AAT student.
  • Good teamwork and ability to meet monthly objectives.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams).
  • Attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to solve problems and handle supplier communications.
  • Some exposure to Accounts Payable is desirable.
