Position SummaryThe Automation Integration & Installation position is an intermediate level production and service role that integrates, installs, maintains, services, troubleshoots, and repairs automation equipment, particularly equipment we sell to external customers. The role works closely with engineers and team members to ensure reliable operation and optimal performance of automated machinery and processes. Primary focus is preparing and integrating robots and automation systems in-house before traveling to install these units at customer locations.
Service calls, technical inquiries, and preventive maintenance travel are required. Typical travel is 16 weeks per year, up to 25 weeks or more if demand exists.
- Integrate and install robotic finishing systems.
- Execute mechanical assembly of robotic finishing systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs for clients of installed equipment.
- Support customer service calls and troubleshoot issues.
- Understand and follow verbal, written work instructions and blueprints, including system build‑sheets.
- Communicate project status and maintain records and reports to management.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 0 years of experience.
- Preferred:
Completion of a 2‑year or more post‑secondary training program in robotics, mechatronics, or industrial technology. - Preferred candidates have experience in electronics and/or technical repair/maintenance of industrial equipment; strong background in electrical work highly valued; electricians strongly encouraged to apply.
- Valid Driver’s License; TSA Precheck Eligibility.
- Prolonged standing, pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying materials.
- Must lift 50 pounds at a time.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to focus on a given task.
- Enthusiastic about learning new skills and technology.
- Effective time‑management and tactical prioritization of work.
- Commitment to continued development through the DeGeest Strong Standard Program.
- Read, speak, and write English.
- Good communication skills.
Hiring salary range: $25.00-$35.00/hour
