Job SummaryThe Warehouse Specialist performs a variety of warehousing duties that require an understanding of the organization's storage plan. Work involves verifying materials against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and damages, routing materials to prescribed storage locations, storing, stacking or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed methods, rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials, examining stored materials, and reporting deterioration and damage.
The worker may operate hand or power trucks in performing these duties.
- Perform a variety of warehousing duties that require an understanding of TAB's storage plan.
- Verify materials and/or merchandise against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and damages.
- Count incoming stock for verification and classify the product.
- Fold and/or package product according to specifications.
- May operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties.
- Verify correctness by comparing items and quantities against placard and scale; check for damaged goods; ensure goods are appropriately identified for routing to warehouse locations; prepare and keep records of goods received.
- Count quantities of materials, parts, or products received.
- Confirm stock in the correct location with the proper condition code and quantity.
- Perform cycle counts weekly, monthly, and quarterly.
- Count all inventory annually to know the exact quantity in the entire warehouse.
- Note and report discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Ensure production orders are pulled correctly, properly documented, and placed in the designated location for pick up.
- Inspect product load for accuracy and move it safely around the warehouse.
- Maintain and operate all TAB equipment and property in accordance with TAB practices.
- Transfer product from different locations in the warehouse.
- Follow standard operating procedures.
- Mechanically load or unload materials with an electric pallet jack.
- Preserve a safe and clean work environment.
- Comply with and assist other employees in understanding and complying with TAB's safety and security policies and guidelines.

- Perform other duties as assigned.
