Job Summary

The Apprentice Electrician, under the direction of Journeyman Electricians,is responsible forthe installation, start-up, troubleshooting,commissioning and servicing of industrial / commercial electrical equipment and systems. This position willbe responsible for following the directions of the Journeyman Electrician to complete electrical maintenance and repair work.

• Observe, learn, and understand a wide range of skills and processes under the instruction of a skilled electrician.
• Demonstrate these skills and processes as on-the-job training progresses by working independently or with others to complete assigned tasks.
• Learn and understand the importance of safety within the workspace and across projects.
• Learn about the various tools and materials required for electricians to complete tasks and projects.
• Maintain good housekeeping and organization in the work area.
• Properlyutilizethe required tools and equipment for each specific task.

Required:

• Have between 2-4 years  OJT hours) of electrical work experience
• Strong understanding of the importance of quality work
• Detail-oriented with strong communication skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with others to promote efficiency
