Responsibilities- Lead and develop a high‑performing pharmacy team, promoting best practices, coaching, and performance improvement.
- Oversee daily pharmacy operations, ensuring safe dispensing, counseling, and immunizations.
- Manage inventory, protect cold chain products, and maintain compliance with state Board of Pharmacy regulations.
- Process new Technician and Pharmacist onboarding, monitor training progress, and ensure licensure readiness.
- Partner with the Store Manager to build a talent pipeline and schedule staffing needs.
- Conduct regular business reporting reviews, develop action plans to address workflow, service, and compliance gaps.
- Maintain a culture of safety, inclusion, and psychological safety; encourage feedback and take corrective action.
- Support clinical service delivery, including testing and prescribing where permissible.
- Comply with all federal and state laws, regulations, policies, and ethical standards, and manage controlled substance stewardship.
- Adapt to scheduling needs, write participation in pharmacy schedules, and maintain operational flexibility.
- Regular attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Complete required training on schedule.
- Demonstrate attentiveness, customer service orientation, and strong communication skills.
- Apply mathematical reasoning for medication calculations.
- Resolve patient or colleague challenges effectively.
- Meet physical demands of the role (mobility, lifting, fine motor tasks, visual acuity).
- Lift up to 20 lbs.
- Maintain precise control of equipment.
- Perform repetitive finger tasks.
- Lead, delegate, empower, and coach team members, including performance reviews and disciplinary actions.
- Perform any additional tasks as directed by supervisor.
- Active Pharmacist License in the state of the store.
- Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
- Not on DEA Excluded Parties list.
- 1‑2 years of pharmacist experience.
- Completion of the CVS Pharmacy Manager Emerging Leader (PM‑EL) program.
- 3‑5 years of related pharmacy or customer‑service experience.
- Ability to work in the home store and across markets.
Pay Range
: $65,000 – $85,000 annually (based on experience, geography, etc.). Eligible for bonus, commission, or incentive programs.
