TGCM Administrative Assistant

Position Type:
Full-time - Monday thru Friday 7:00am to 4:00pm (40-Hour week)

Role Overview

A TGCM (Total Gas and Chemical Management) Administrative Assistant provides specialized support for the operations and logistics of hazardous material management, typically within semiconductor or industrial manufacturing environments. This role bridges standard office administration with site-specific technical needs like inventory tracking and safety documentation.

Core Responsibilities
  • Inventory & Procurement Support:
Facilitate purchase orders (PO) and requests for chemicals and gases. Track inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and resolve stock-out situations.
  • Data & Documentation Management:
Maintain critical records including Safety Data Sheets (SDS), site training logs, and equipment maintenance files. Prepare routine reports on chemical usage, forecasts, and safety metrics.
  • Safety & Compliance Liaison:
Support safety audits by organizing compliance documentation. Serve as a point of contact for new hire onboarding and safety training scheduling.
  • Operational Logistics:
Manage departmental calendars, schedule technical meetings, and document action items. Coordinate site access and logistics for visiting vendors or contractors.
  • Financial Administration:
Reconcile expense reports, track department budgets, and process invoices for materials or services.
Required Qualifications
  • Education:

High School Diploma or GED is the minimum; an Associate's or Bachelor's degree is often preferred for high-tech environments.
  • Experience:

1–3 years in an administrative role, ideally within an industrial, chemical, or semiconductor setting or related technical field; or equivalent experience/knowledge as determined by management.
  • Software Proficiency:
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with ERP systems like SAP and other systems.
Key Skills
  • Organization:
Ability to manage multiple shifting priorities in a fast-paced "fab" or manufacturing environment.
  • Communication:
Professional verbal and written skills to interface between site technicians, management, and global suppliers.
  • Attention to Detail:
Meticulous accuracy in recording data for hazardous materials where errors can impact site safety or production.
