Machine Operator, Manufacturing Production
The CNC Machining position is responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC machines to manufacture components according to technical specifications. This role requires expertise in machine operation, sheet metal experience, blueprint reading, precision measurement, and troubleshooting.
Functions- Must be able to set-up and run Horizontal and/or VTL Lathes. Programming a plus!
- Ability to identify non-conforming parts. Analyze results of coordinate measuring machines and execute proper tool wear offset adjustments at controller.
- Able to make your own tools (example chuck jaws or fixtures) specific to your own jobs.
- Demonstrate cooperative relations with supervisor.
- Ability to consistently work to tight tolerances.
- Strong trouble shooting skills.
- Capable of lifting 50 lbs.
- Able to meet productivity requirements.
- Ability to communicate and counsel other operators in the department.
- Configure CNC machines, load materials, and execute machining processes.
- Programming & Adjustments – Modify G-code or CAD/CAM software for optimal performance.
- Quality Control – Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, and other precision tools.
- Troubleshooting & Maintenance – Identify and resolve machine issues, perform routine maintenance.
- Safety & Compliance – Follow workplace safety protocols and industry regulations.
