The Business Insights Specialist drives the development and management of Gleaners’ client service and operational data platform. This role transforms data into actionable insights through dashboards, visualizations, and analysis that support strategic decision-making, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement across the organization. This position plays a key role in consolidating data across systems, improving reporting capabilities, and leveraging AI tools to enhance productivity and impact measurement.
Key Responsibilities- Lead implementation and management of a data warehouse and visualization solution
- Build and maintain dataflows to integrate and transform service and operational data
- Develop dashboards and reports for program and operations leadership
- Support fundraising, grant reporting, and program evaluation with impact analyses
- Analyze operational data (volunteers, satisfaction, inventory, transportation, etc.) to drive efficiency improvements
- Champion data-informed decision-making and continuous improvement
- Explore and apply AI tools to enhance reporting and analytics processes
- Evaluate and provide recommendations on future client data management systems
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data analytics, information systems, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in business or operational analytics preferred
- Strong Excel and data visualization skills (Power BI, Tableau, or similar required)
- Experience with SQL-based data warehouses and APIs strongly preferred
