Who We Are

Taylor's Education is building a scalable multi‑campus affordable schools network under the Lexel International School brand. The Head of Technology owns the group technology stack—core platforms, data standards, cybersecurity, architecture, and service levels that every campus relies on, as well as ensuring proper training is in place for teaching and administrative staff to ensure optimal use of such systems in teaching and learning, and in school operations.

  • Build a group-wide 18-36 month Digital Roadmap aligned with our learning model, operational needs, and future multi‑campus expansion.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies—especially AI in learning, operations, and teacher workflow—and test tools that can lift efficiency or improve student outcomes.
  • Drive the rollout and optimisation of our core enterprise platforms:
    • Student Information System:

      Schoology

  • Create and maintain an integrated architecture that allows these platforms to work seamlessly across all campuses.
  • Build repeatable “school-in-a-box” deployment templates for new campuses (network blueprint, device standards, Tech stack, onboarding checklists).
  • Anticipate upcoming digital needs of new schools and create scalable, repeatable deployment templates.
Policy, Compliance & Safeguarding
  • Develop and enforce ICT policies that meet Ministry of Education (MoE) requirements, including:
    • Child safeguarding in digital environments
    • Data protection and privacy (including PDPA compliance)
    • Cybersecurity standards and incident response
  • Ensure every campus meets baseline compliance and risk-mitigation standards.
  • Support the TEPL team in ensuring it meets baseline compliance and risk-mitigation standards.
2. Operational ICT Leadership School-Wide IT Infrastructure
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and ongoing management of core infrastructure:
    • Wi‑Fi networks, servers, switches, and firewalls
    • Email and identity management systems
    • Classroom technology, smart boards, and AV setups
    • CCTV and access-control systems
    • Backup solutions and disaster recovery plans
Matrix Oversight of Campus ICT Teams
  • Provide direction, standards, and supervision for ICT staff deployed at each campus.
  • Create SLAs and performance metrics for helpdesk and on-site support.
  • Ensure consistent technology experiences for teachers, students, and families across all schools.
System Administration & Integration
  • Maintain system health and uptime for all central platforms.
  • Troubleshoot escalated issues that cannot be resolved at campus level.
  • Coordinate data syncs, term rollovers, reporting templates, and analytics dashboards.
3. Procurement & Vendor Management
  • Lead the procurement of all ICT systems, licences, and infrastructure for new and existing campuses.
  • Evaluate vendors, negotiate contracts, and ensure we achieve strong value without compromising reliability.
  • Build cost models and procurement playbooks that allow rapid opening of new schools.
  • Manage deployment timelines for system and hardware rollouts aligned with campus construction and opening schedules.
4. Training, Support & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Equip teachers, leaders, and operations teams to fully use SIS, LMS, CRM, and AI tools.
  • Run onboarding cycles, micro‑trainings, and troubleshooting workshops as needed.
  • Work closely with academic leadership to ensure technology meaningfully supports learning — not the other way around.
  • Maintain a strong service orientation across all ICT touchpoints.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive ICT leadership experience, ideally in education or a multi‑site environment.
  • Proven expertise with SIS, LMS, CRM, and AI tools — experience with Power School, Schoology, and Hub Spot is a major advantage.
  • Strong background in IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, networking, and school-based operational tech (CCTV, Wi‑Fi, AV, device management).
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams in a matrix structure.
  • Solid understanding of MoE requirements, child safeguarding guidelines, and data protection standards.
  • Skilled negotiator with strong vendor‑management experience.
  • Hands‑on, solutions‑driven, and comfortable operating in a start‑up‑style environment where systems are being built and refined continuously.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to translate technical issues into clear operational decisions.
