Pharmacy Technician

Taylor Outpatient Pharmacy, part time, 32 hours per week, rotating shift

Corwell Health Taylor Hospital is a 148‑bed hospital that is a recognized health care leader in the metro Detroit area. Proudly serving Taylor and surrounding communities since 1977, it offers specialty services including 24‑hour emergency care, wound care and hyperbaric oxygen therapy, a surgical pavilion, a pain management clinic, orthopedic surgery, inpatient rehabilitation facility and full‑service radiology, including advanced CT w/cardiac scoring, Fixed MRI including pacemaker, cinema vision and ultrasound (MSK & elastography).

Under the direction and supervision of a Pharmacist, performs a variety of functions related to preparation, storage, distribution and dispensing of prescriptions. Within the Hospital, rotation through IV admixture and unit dose service is routine. Rotation to OR Pharmacy Services and Outpatient Pharmacy Services may be required. Performs data entry and other record keeping functions as determined to be necessary to the operations of the department.

• Required A level of knowledge normally acquired through completion of a general high school diploma program or GED.
• Experience with sterile compounding and/or 6 months technician experience and/or graduate of an ASHP accredited technician training program. Preferred
• LIC-Pharmacy Technician -  State of Michigan Upon Hire required Or
• LIC-Pharmacist Intern -  State of Michigan Upon Hire required
