Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead daily maintenance operations in an aviation engine and accessory MRO facility. This role is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, optimizing efficiency, and driving continuous improvement while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead scheduled and unscheduled maintenance for aviation engines and components.
- Ensure compliance with FAA, EASA, OEM, and internal quality requirements.
- Manage production operations.
- Optimize labor, resources, and turnaround times to meet cost, quality, and delivery targets.
- Lead, develop, and mentor managers, supervisors, and technical staff.
- Champion safety, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor KPIs including TAT, cost efficiency, quality, productivity, and profitability.
- Manage operational budgets, revenue, margins, and absorption.
- Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, vendors, and senior leadership.
- Support customer satisfaction and contract performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in aviation maintenance, Engineering, Business, or related field.
- 5+ years of maintenance or service operations experience, including 3+ years in leadership.
- Experience managing teams in an MRO environment.
Skills
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Expertise in maintenance planning and resource management.
- Knowledge of FAA/EASA regulations and quality systems.
- Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience preferred.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
