• a degree in medicine and a minimum of a
  master’s degree
  in the related specialization or
  a phd
  in a specific relevant field will be preferred
• demonstrated expertise in a specific area of medicine.

• candidate must be familiar with academic processes and regulatory requirements of mqa and also be able to carry out the duties of an academic administrative (where applicable).
• undertake teaching and teaching related duties such as design, preparation and development of teaching materials; conduct classes/lectures, tutorials and practical; consultation with students, invigilation, preparation and marking of assessments
• participate and contribute to high quality programme and curriculum development
• plan and implement teaching strategies to maximise the student learning towards the module/programme learning outcomes
• ability to conduct high quality research evidenced by a strong publication and citation record (scopus/clarivate indexed).
• ability to successfully win competitive research grants as the principal researcher evidenced by a strong track record.
• maintain high standards in supervising postgraduate research students.
• applicants with patents registered / consultancy works carried out will be given preference
• assist in establishing linkages with external organisations/ professional bodies in academic related matters locally and internationally
