+ Develops professional and clinical skills through attendance at staff development meetings, pertinent educational activities, and professional affiliations.

+ Participates in the review process and the agency performance improvement program.

+ Provides patient education, medication administration, wound dressing changes, and ostomy care as directed by the RN and ordered by the physician.

+ Displays flexibility in accepting assignment changes and participates in weekend/after-hours coverage and call rotation.

** Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:*
* - Demonstrates knowledge of practical nursing theory, modalities, treatments, and skills

- A high level of multitasking, organization, and proactive communication skills are necessary

- Problem-solving abilities

- Positive interpersonal communication skills

- Must possess sound judgment and critical thinking skills

- Team and customer service oriented

- Must be able to manage multiple details, tasks, and decision-making abilities under busy and stressful working conditions

- Basic computer skills required including but not limited to MS Office; additional computer knowledge [Preferred]

- Venipuncture skills

- Must be proficient in the English language; additional languages [Preferred]

- Background check meets organizational guidelines

- Requires individuals to be able to make emergency and mature independent judgments and decisions

- Must have excellent communication skills, be flexible, and able to interact positively with associates

- Knowledge with a Point of Care software system for patient care documentation [Preferred]
