Position: Registered Nurse II -Full-Time (Benefited) Multiple Shifts - CONTINUOUS

Job Description

Registered Nurse II – Full-Time (40 hours per week), multiple shifts (continuous postings). Positions are available on either second or third shift. The days off are determined with alternating weekends. Employees will be required to perform mandatory overtime.

Schedule
  • 2:45 p.m. to 11:15 p.m.
  • 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provides direct professional nursing care to assigned patients on the locked units of TSH utilizing a patient‑centered approach to assist the patient in meeting their goals and needs.
  • Establishes a therapeutic rapport with assigned patients to facilitate open communication and assist staff in providing care effective in meeting the patient's established goals.
  • Oversees the maintenance of a safe, secure, and therapeutic environment utilizing acuity and appropriate staff assignments.
  • Assures that all patients are assessed on a daily basis for quality care related to physical, medical, psychiatric, spiritual and cultural needs.
  • Gains knowledge required to provide patient‑centered care to all patients within the recovery model by attending all assigned educational trainings offered by DMH.
Required Qualifications
  • One year of full‑time, or equivalent part‑time, experience as a registered nurse in a recognized hospital, clinic or medical facility.
  • Current and valid registration as a professional nurse under the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing.

Taunton State Hospital, United States – Massachusetts – Taunton – 60 Hodges Avenue

Benefits and Other Information

Successful candidates will be required to acknowledge and attest to vaccination status for COVID‑19 and influenza. Salary is determined by experience and education within the applicable salary schedule. The position is part of bargaining unit 07‑MNA – Professional Health Care. No hybrid work schedule is available.
