Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly organized and experienced Warehouse Director to join our team! Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, the Warehouse Director is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of our warehouse facility, ensuring efficient order fulfillment, building a culture of safety, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong background in warehouse management, logistics and/or supply chain management who are passionate about driving continuous improvement and delivering results-driven performance.
Responsibilities- Oversee the daily operations of the warehouse, including order selection, receiving, and inventory management of food service products.
- Direct supervision of 150+ associates, including Warehouse Managers and Supervisors, covering three different shifts.
- Manage and coordinate warehouse activities to ensure timely order fulfillment and efficient use of resources.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize warehouse operations, improve inventory management, and reduce costs.
- Analyze profit and loss statements to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective measures.
- Collaborate with the logistics and supply chain teams to ensure seamless delivery of products to customers.
- Execute management functions of staff selection, development, discipline, performance reviews, and/or terminations to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Implement processes to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment.
- Manage and maintain warehouse equipment and infrastructure to ensure optimal functionality.
- Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement in warehouse operations.
- Manage and report on warehouse performance metrics to senior management.
- Lead safety initiatives within the department to attain corporate safety KPI's. Ensures all associates are compliant with safety training by conducting associate observations, updating preferred work methods, conducting accident investigations to determine root causes, and participating in routine safety inspections.
- Oversee shipping and loading audits daily to make sure all required documentation is accurately completed (including HAACP, food safety, and catch-weight documentation) and that material is handled and stored correctly with a minimum potential for loss.
- Manage the sanitation team to ensure a safe and clean warehouse.
- Complies with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies (i.e. OSHA, AIB, FDA, USDA, etc.).

Qualifications- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 4-6 years of Warehouse Leadership experience with a team of 100+ employees, including managers and supervisors
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, drive results and meet deadlines
- Ability to flex schedule to work 2nd and/or 3rd shift
- Strong analytical ability, experience with budgeting and profit and loss
- Experience with OSHA, FDA, USDA and other regulatory agencies
- Experience with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point
- Bachelor's degree in business management, supply chain, inventory or related field
- 6+ years of Warehouse Leadership experience with a team of 75+ employees, including managers and supervisors
- Experience working in food service
- Experience working in a union environment
