MH Food Service Associate – Brown University Health
Provides patient meal service and cleans all area supporting meal service at Brown University Health. Employees are expected to role model the organization's values of Compassion, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence, guiding everyday actions with patients, customers, and colleagues.

- Accurately assemble, distribute and collect patient trays, collecting trays at the appropriate time and in an efficient manner.
- Clean all wares and equipment used for food service, including dish machine, dish room and equipment appropriately.
- Respond to patient requests in a timely manner, passing patient trays in a correct and courteous manner.
- Handle food safely, maintaining temperatures, using barriers, and observing HACCP plan.
- Strip trays per procedure in a timely manner, and perform all other tasks as assigned.
- Manage time and resources: complete assignments within an acceptable time frame, using resources efficiently, maintaining punctuality and reliability.
- Maintain a team effort to ensure quality services; offer creative solutions or alternatives to issues; produce quality results; continually strive for improvement and take corrective actions as needed.
- Understand and follow instructions; read English.
- Work on feet for long periods of time.
- Show courtesy with all customer groups.
- Possess previous food service experience and be cooperative and respectful.
- Be patient when responding to questions, handling interruptions skillfully.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor; prevent/resolve customer concerns to the customer's satisfaction.
- Continuously develop work skills through available resources, attend staff meetings, and participate in mentoring.
- Perform analytical and decision‑making functions with minimal supervision; seek assistance when appropriate.
- Demonstrate understanding of hospital and department policies, including safety issues; be aware of hospital programs/services and locations.
Pay Range: $18.74–$27.33
Location: Morton Hospital – 88 Washington Street, Taunton, Massachusetts 02780
