Accounting Associate

Summary:
Performs a variety of accounting, clerical, and customer service duties in conformance with established Bank policies and procedures. Employees in this area must be detail-oriented, have strong mathematical and reasoning abilities, and possess good organizational and communication skills.
Primary Responsibilities
- Reconcile general ledger accounts
- Process wire transfers
- Calculate the daily cash position
- Prepare general ledger entries, including month-end entries
- Process Fixed Assets and Prepaids
- Process Investment settlements and payments
- Process Accounts Payable as needed
- Assist in gathering and preparing documents for internal and external audits
- Assist in preparing Board and Regulatory Reports
- Assist in ad-hoc projects as needed
- Respond to and resolve internal and external customer inquiries
- Maintain bank and vendor records
- Maintain department procedures
- Assist with Records Retention
- Perform a variety of administrative support duties as required
- Promote and demonstrate a positive work environment
- Other duties as assigned by Management; back up other department functions
- Associate's degree or higher in a business-related discipline, or high school diploma and relevant work experience;
Banking experience preferred - Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
