Finance Assistant

Position: Finance Assistant (Permanent)
Our client is a very successful local business, dedicated to supporting their community and providing excellent services. Their team is friendly, approachable, and supportive, creating a welcoming environment where collaboration and positivity thrive.

We have a fantastic opportunity to join their team as a Finance Assistant. This is an interesting, full-time, Monday to Friday role, offering up to £28,000 per year. The role is varied and provides the chance to work across a range of finance functions, supporting the smooth running of the business. Accuracy, attention to detail, and strong organisational skills are essential.

For the right candidate, our client is willing to support the development of professional qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

* General finance duties

* Assisting with financial reporting and reconciliations

* Supporting payroll and other accounting processes

* Maintaining accurate records and contributing to the smooth running of the finance function

* Providing support with ad-hoc finance projects as required

Requirements:

* Working towards or holding an AAT qualification is desirable but not essential – relevant experience will also be considered

* Good Excel skills and willingness to learn accounting and payroll systems

* Rigorous attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy across all tasks

* Highly organised, with strong time management and prioritisation skills

* Able to communicate effectively with colleagues and external contacts, handling confidential information appropriately

* Collaborative, flexible, and enthusiastic approach to working within a small team
