Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children with special needs? We are seeking a dedicated Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join our team in Taunton. You will be working in arawd school that caters to children with learning difficulties, autism, Down’s syndrome, and ADHD.

• Provide this support to students with learning difficulties, autism, Down’s syndrome, and ADHD.
• Assist in the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Support the classroom teacher in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Help students with daily tasks and activities, promoting independence and confidence.
• Implement behaviour management strategies to support student engagement and progress.
• Monitor and record student progress, communicating effectively with teachers and parents.

• Experience working with children with special needs, particularly those with learning difficulties, autism, Down’s syndrome, and ADHD.
• Strong understanding of various special educational needs and strategies to support them.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with special needs.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Relevant qualifications or training in special education (desirable but not essential).
