Are you looking for a meaningful job where you can make a real difference to young people’s lives? We are seeking a warm, patient and caring full-time Teaching Assistant to work with secondary-aged pupils with SEMH, autism and learning disabilities at a thriving secondary school in Taunton.

- Full time: 8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
- Hourly rate: £13.70 per hour
- Permanent, following a 16-week settling-in period beginning January
- You’ll support pupils with SEMH, autism and learning disabilities, helping them engage in mainstream lessons and access the curriculum with confidence
- Is kind, patient and calm under pressure
- Has a genuine desire to make a positive difference for vulnerable young people
- Can build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and staff alike
- Is flexible, reliable and values teamwork
- Has experience working with young people (graduates, youth workers, sports coaches, support workers or previous teaching assistants welcome) — though your attitude and commitment matter more than formal teaching experience.
