About the role
Cooper Associates Accountancy Limited is continuing its growth journey and is looking for a full time Bookkeeping Manager.
DutiesOverseeing day-to-day bookkeeping activities across a diverse portfolio of clients using Xero and Quick Books, while managing and supporting a small bookkeeping team to ensure high-quality work and adherence to deadlines. Assisting with month‑end and year‑end procedures, liaising with managers as needed, and maintaining accurate financial records in full compliance with HMRC regulations.
What we’re looking forA minimum of two years’ bookkeeping experience, ideally gained within an accountancy practice or multi‑client environment. Strong working knowledge of Xero is essential, with Quick Books experience being a valuable advantage. You will need proven experience preparing VAT and CIS returns, excellent attention to detail, and strong organisational and communication skills.
You should be confident working in a fast‑paced environment, able to manage competing priorities, and comfortable leading or supporting a small team. AAT Level 3 (or higher) qualification, or equivalent experience, is desirable but not essential. Proficiency in Excel and a commitment to accuracy, integrity, and professional development are key to success in this role.
