** Security Officer - Overnight Patrol Driver

** Tarrytown, NY** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare research location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control and visitor badging, respond to alarms and service calls, and communicate clearly with staff and guests.

This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license and compliance with Allied Universal driver policy in our agile, caring, integrity-led team.

** What You'll Do:*
* + Provide customer service to clients, staff, patients, and/or visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.

+ Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, labs, offices, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.

+ Monitor access points and screen visitors and/or deliveries per site procedures, including verifying identification and directing individuals to the appropriate location.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site contacts and/or public responders as required.

+ Document patrols, alarms, and unusual activity in written and/or electronic reports, and communicate observed hazards and/or maintenance issues to the appropriate parties.

* Minimum Requirements:

* + Have a minimum of 2 or more years of security-related experience.

+ Be at least 21 years of age.

+ A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

+ Access control and badge experience is preferred.

+ Customer service experience is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
