Job Description:

* Educates patients regarding procedures and tests, and other hospital policies. Conducts patient care activities with respect for privacy and confidentiality.

* Identifies and responds to life-threatening situations appropriately.

* Assists in the organization and coordination of patients to promote efficient flow within the department.

* Collaborates with staff as a team player to ensure quality patient care.

* Addresses ethical issues in patient care, such as Living Wills and Durable Power of Attorney.

* Uses appropriate forms with high accuracy and attention to detail.

* Responds promptly and effectively to patient and guest needs.

* Receives and places reports in patient charts to prevent delays and complications.

* Informs physicians of abnormal results as soon as possible.

* Notifies appropriate team when patients are available for pre-op interviewing. Performs EKGs.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

* Computer skills [Required]

Education:

* Associate's of Nursing [Required]

* Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]

Work Experience:

1+ clinical nursing [Required]

1+ years of experience in Pre-Surgery [Preferred}

Licenses and

Certifications:

Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]

BLS [Required]
