ECU Health Physicians and ECU Health Cancer Care-Tarboro, located in Tarboro, North Carolina, are seeking a BE/BC Hematology Oncologist to join their established practice. ECU Health Cancer Care is the largest provider of oncology services in eastern North Carolina.

• Provide care in one of four facilities in the ECU Health ACS-CoC accredited Integrated Network Cancer Program
• Outpatient only clinical care
• Established team of experienced nurses, navigators, and a nurse practitioner
• Monday-Friday schedule that offers a 4.5-day work week
• Shared regional call
• Outpatient clinical responsibilities will include:
• Developing treatment plans for new diagnosis in hematology oncology patients
• Chemotherapy oversight
• Supervising advanced practice provider on follow up patients
• Leading tumor board

Advanced Practice Provider support for follow ups, symptom management and infusion coverage.

Cancer center includes a healing garden, 8 infusion chairs, 2 private infusion areas, patient image renewal areas, and community outreach spaces.

Affiliation with and support provided by the ECU Health Cancer Center located in nearby Greenville, NC with access to multidisciplinary oncology teams for diagnosing late-stage cancers including support from disease focused medical oncologists, radiation oncologists and surgical oncologists. Close collaboration with the ECU Health Multispecialty Clinic which offers a full range of healthcare services which include primary & preventive care, immediate care, specialty care, Lab, X-ray, Digital radiology and bone densitometry, IAC accredited ECHO lab, and AASM accredited sleep lab.

System-wide integrated EMR – EPIC Built in referral network. With an easy commute to Greenville, Wilson, Raleigh, and surrounding areas, this opportunity provides applicants with a variety of living options.
