Road Freight Operator – Tamworth

Salary: Up to £35,000 (depending on experience)
Location: Tamworth, Staffordshire

A well-established international freight forwarding business is seeking an experienced Road Freight Operator to join its growing team in Tamworth. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a dynamic logistics environment with strong career progression prospects.

• Working within a busy road freight department as part of a wider operational team

• Handling European groupage and full-load services

• Arranging the movement of freight from origin to final destination (UK & Europe)

• Liaising with customers, overseas partners, and suppliers

• Managing shipments from booking through to delivery

• Preparing and processing customs and transport documentation

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in European road freight or logistics

• Strong understanding of road freight operations

• Ability to manually calculate costs and charges, including taxable kilos

• Experience with customs paperwork

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Salary up to £35,000 depending on experience

• Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm
