Overview
Driver Category C Tamworth. Monday to Friday | 07:00 - 16:00. Speedy are the UK's leading hire provider, offering the widest range of tools, specialist equipment, plant and support services truly everything for every job. We're now looking for a friendly and reliable Driver Category C to join our Tamworth team. This is a busy, rewarding role where no two days are the same.
You’ll be delivering hire equipment across the local area and playing a key part in keeping our customers moving. As one of our front-line colleagues, you’ll be the face of Speedy and a fantastic ambassador for our values and customer-first approach.
- Delivering and collecting hire equipment safely and on time to and from customer sites
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks to ensure your vehicle is safe, clean and roadworthy
- Loading and unloading equipment securely, following all manual handling and safety guidelines
- Completing delivery paperwork and using handheld devices accurately
- Building strong relationships with customers by providing a friendly, professional service
- Representing Speedy positively at all times on customer sites
- Working closely with the depot and operations teams to plan efficient delivery routes
- Reporting any issues with equipment, vehicles or deliveries promptly
- Ensuring compliance with all transport legislation and company procedures
- A full UK Category C driving licence
- Good knowledge of the local area
- A strong customer-focused mindset
- Experience driving within the UK
- A full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points
- A positive attitude and a willingness to support your team and business
- Friendly, upbeat and self-motivated
- A real people-person who enjoys meeting customers
- Comfortable working outdoors and being active throughout the day
