HGV Class 2 Driver – AM Shift (Tamworth)

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Tamworth.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent hourly rates, consistent Monday to Friday work, and long-term ongoing opportunities.

• Monday to Friday
• Start time : 04:00
• Monday and Thursday nights out (£26.20 + expenses)

• £15.00 per hour

• Safely operate Class 2 (Category
  
  C) vehicles
• Carry out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Ensure all loads are safely secured
• Adhere to traffic laws and company procedures
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
• Report any vehicle defects or maintenance requirements
• Assist with loading and unloading as needed
• 5–7 drops per day, including distance work (as far as Carlisle and Cornwall)
• White goods retail deliveries using a tail lift

• Valid UK Category C Licence
• Minimum of 12 months’ experience driving Class 2 vehicles
• Maximum of six penalty points for minor infringements (no major endorsements)
• Valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
• Good level of spoken and written English
• Strong punctuality and time-keeping
• Good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
• Effective communication skills

• Experience driving other commercial vehicles
• Previous multi-drop experience

• Driving assessment required prior to start
• One-day paid induction following successful assessment
• Full industry-related training and ongoing support throughout
