Position Overview
We are seeking a diligent and technically skilled Quality Inspector to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all manufactured components meet required specifications, quality standards, and customer expectations. This role involves using a variety of inspection techniques, producing formal quality documentation, and supporting continuous improvement activities across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Perform first-off, in‑process, and final inspection of components using both manual and digital measurement tools.
Operate and programme CMM equipment (e.g., Mitutoyo MCOSMOS, CMM Manager, or equivalent systems).
Produce formal quality documentation such as FAIRs, ISIRs, and ASISO 9001 compliant reports.
Conduct visual, dimensional, and mechanical inspections using micrometres, verniers, height gauges, shadow graphs, and other precision equipment.
Support calibration activities, ensuring gauges and equipment remain within valid certification.
Work closely with engineering, production, and management teams to resolve quality concerns and maintain high manufacturing standards.
Maintain accurate inspection records, ensuring traceability and compliance with internal and customer requirements.
Assist with root‑cause analysis and problem‑solving activities (e.g., 5Y, 8D).
Contribute to internal audits, continuous improvement initiatives, and adherence to quality management systems.
Essential Skills & Experience
Proven experience as a Quality Inspector within engineering or manufacturing.
Strong proficiency in CMM operation/programming (training may be provided for the right candidate).
Solid understanding of GD T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and customer documentation.
Competence in producing FAIR/ISIR/PPAP documentation.
Good working knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, or similar quality standards.
Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
Desirable Experience
Experience in sectors such as aerospace, automotive, defence, precision machining, or similar regulated industries.
Familiarity with calibration techniques.
Knowledge of additional inspection technologies
Understanding of manufacturing processes

Typical Working Hours & Benefits
Monday–Thursday: 07:15–16:15
Friday: 07:15–12:15
