Toolmaker

A plastic manufacturing business based in Tamworth are looking for a toolmaker to join their team. This business has recently been give a £6m investment into the site to enhance the production, turning them from 5 day manufacturing to 24/7. As a toolmaker you will be based in the toolroom working on making and modifying tools. This role i s not an operator or setters position. Responsibilities of a toolmaker:
Repair and maintain injection moulding tools. Carry out PPM to agreed schedule. Identify spares requirements and log usage. Take ownership of smaller less complex specific tool suite to develop and maintain performance with minimal supervision. Operate Forklift Truck and lifting equipment. Support new project tooling from commissioning stages through to start of production. Assist in tooling trials. What you will bring as a toolmaker:
