Material Delivery​/Runner

MCS is hiring for Material Delivery / Runner in Tampa, FL
. This is a full-time, permanent position with benefits.

The Material Delivery / Runner must be able to drive a box truck safely and effectively, which is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of our job sites by facilitating the movement of materials and supplies. The Material Delivery / Runner will require good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team setting. It is important that candidates keep abreast of industry trends and developments, as well as applicable Government regulations.

• Material Transportation:
  Safely transport materials to and from job sites and supply stores. This includes careful handling and securing of materials during transit.
• Heavy Lifting:
  Regularly lift and move heavy items, typically weighing between 50-75 pounds, ensuring proper safety procedures are followed.
• Equipment Operation:
  Operate forklifts and pallet jacks for loading and unloading materials. Prior experience with these is preferred.
• Inventory Management:
  Assist in tracking and managing inventory levels, ensuring that materials are available as needed and stored properly.
• Supply Acquisition:
  Efficiently purchase or pick up materials from supply stores or warehouses as required, ensuring timely delivery to job sites.
• Maintenance of Vehicles:
  Perform basic maintenance checks on vehicles and equipment to ensure they are in good working order.
• Record Keeping:
  Maintain accurate records of material movement, vehicle logs, and purchase receipts.
• Compliance with Safety Standards:
  Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while performing job duties.
• Vehicle Laws:
  Must understand and comply with all Florida vehicle driving laws.

High School Diploma or Equivalent. A Commercial Drivers License (CDL) is preferred.

• A clean driving record with a minimum of five years of driving experience.
• Ability to lift and move heavy items (50-75 pounds).
• Experience with operating forklifts and pallet jacks is preferred.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Bi-lingual is a plus.

• Basic mechanical skills for vehicle and equipment troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of local routes and suppliers.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Flexibility to work in various weather conditions and extend hours if necessary.

Work Environment

• Work assignments may vary based on client requirements.

Schedule

• Regular attendance following an established work schedule is mandatory.
• It is important to be able to work any shift/designated hours required.
• You may be asked to continue performance during inclement weather or other conditions when others are not permitted to work.
• This position may require night and weekend work and could include travel to areas with varying field conditions.

Physical Requirements

• May require climbing ladders, working at heights and in small, confined spaces such as under raised floors, inside closets, and server racks.
• Must possess the capability to sit, stoop, kneel, or crouch for extended durations. Will be required to operate in noisy environments with temperatures higher or lower than standard office conditions. Must be able to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
