While you will be out on the road, you will also mix it up in-store, helping the team, learning about pizza, and developing essential skills.
Requirements- Friendly, positive attitude and great customer service skills
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable vehicle for deliveries
- Proof of car insurance
- Safe driving record that meets company standards
- Strong navigational skills: read maps, locate addresses, navigate adverse terrain and multi‑story buildings
Job Duties
- Operate all delivery equipment
- Stock ingredients from the delivery area to storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler
- Prepare products
- Receive and process telephone orders
- Take inventory and complete associated paperwork
- Clean equipment and facility approximately daily
- Comprehend and give correct written instructions
- Communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders over the phone and in person
- Accurate arithmetic (add, subtract, multiply, divide; may use calculator)
- Make correct monetary change
- Verbal, written, and telephone skills for taking and processing orders
- Motor coordination for rapid, accurate movements and speed
- Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen
- Varying weather conditions when performing outdoor tasks
- Temperature ranges from 36° in cooler to 90+° in some in‑store areas
- Sudden temperature changes inside and outside
- Exposure to food fumes and cornmeal dust
- Cramped quarters such as walk‑in coolers
- Hot surfaces/tools up to 500°
- Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts
- Talking and hearing on telephone
- Near and mid‑range vision for most tasks
- Depth perception
- Ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces
- Driving: deliver pizzas within a designated area, possibly multiple deliveries per shift
- Standing: most tasks performed standing
- Walking: short distances for short durations
- Lifting: bulk product deliveries (up to 50 lbs, 3' × 1.5') and stacking up to 72 high
- Carrying: large cans (3 lbs), pizza sauce (30 lbs), trays of dough (12 lbs each)
- Pushing / pulling: trays on dollies (24–30 lbs) requiring up to 7.5 lbs of force
- Climbing: infrequent stairs or ladder use for maintenance or price changes
- Stooping / bending: forward bending at waist up to 30–45 seconds repeated throughout the day
- Crouching / squatting: occasional, to stock shelves and clean low areas
- Reaching: continuously up, down, and forward
- Hand tasks: eye‑hand coordination, frequent use of both hands; shaping dough requires forceful forearm and wrist use
