Fitness Manager

EōS Fitness is a dynamic and motivating fitness club focused on creating loyal lifelong fans and exercise practitioners. We are seeking a highly motivated and sales‑driven leader to serve as Fitness Manager. Reporting to the District Fitness Manager, the Fitness Manager will spend time in the club working on the floor, setting appointments, and building relationships with members while selling training packages and developing a team of personal trainers to do the same.

• Achieve sales targets month‑over‑month, driving membership growth and ensuring the team meets or exceeds goals for new personal training agreements, client retention, and overall revenue generation.
• Collaborate with the membership sales team to support new member onboarding and the smooth transition into the club experience.
• Hire, train, schedule, and supervise staff members, including Personal Training Managers, Assistant Fitness Managers, and Personal Trainers.
• Manage payroll for Assistant Fitness Managers and Personal Trainers to ensure timely and correct payment.
• Communicate goals, expectations, and procedures to department leaders and staff, ensuring everyone understands their roles and responsibilities.
• Ensure all fitness staff have appropriate certifications and training such as CPR, First Aid, and personal trainer certifications.
• Provide constructive feedback to staff members on performance, using clear and specific language.
• Ensure high‑quality customer service by addressing member concerns or complaints and resolving issues promptly.
• Engage with members in a friendly and approachable manner, actively listening to their needs and concerns.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining proper certifications and implementing safety protocols.
• Supervise the maintenance and cleanliness of the facility, including equipment, locker rooms, and common areas.
• Manage emergency and unexpected disruptions by communicating calmly and clearly with staff and members.

• 2+ years of management experience; fitness/personal training management is a plus.
• 3–4 years of customer service experience.
• Personal training sales experience highly preferred.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with employees, management, vendors, and members.
• Excellent relationship building and influencing skills across all functions.
• Strong detail orientation, systematic problem‑solving, and time‑management skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office.

• Successful background check.
• CPR certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Valid personal trainer certification.
• Previous sales experience required.
• Ability to work in a gym setting, moving around the club and interacting with members.
• Computer proficiency for entering data and preparing documents.
• Ability to lift more than 40 lbs. regularly.

USD $58,656 – $60,008 per year
