Senior Java Developer, Tampa, FL

The Senior Java Developer will assist a group of top‑notch developers to build breakthrough features customers will love, adopt, and use while keeping the trusted platform stable and scalable. This role involves system design, implementation, and testing to ensure we build products correctly and release them with high quality. The position requires working in an Agile software development environment. Please note that we prefer US Citizens or Green Card holders, but will sponsor H1‑B visas.

The role is open to candidates located anywhere in Florida.

• Analyze, design, develop, and implement software solutions for the healthcare industry using Java, J2EE, JavaScript, Spring, Hibernate, MySQL, Servlet, JDK, Windows, UNIX, and related technologies.
• Handle complex problems independently and demonstrate analytical thinking, making judgments and recommendations based on analysis and interpretation.
• Define and design application tiers; review and implement system frameworks for security validation.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (backlog grooming, sprint planning, etc.).
• Provide guidance to other resources and mentor new resources as needed.
• Assign work to other team members and review completed assignments.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field required;
  Master’s degree preferred.
• 6+ years of experience in enterprise Java development.
• 1+ year of experience in the healthcare industry preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of reading/writing shell scripts and scheduling tools (Skybot, CRON, etc.) preferred.
• Experience with source control systems.
• Ability to work in a constantly changing, fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
• Experience in Agile SDLC, JIRA, Git, AWS is a plus.
• Dev Ops (Jenkins, Maven, Sonar) and CI/CD experience is a plus.
