Azure Data Engineer (Contract) – Tampa, FL
Akkodis is seeking an Azure Data Engineer for a contract with a client in Tampa, FL. You will design and build scalable data pipelines and architectures on the Azure cloud platform, ensuring high performance and reliability.
Rate Range: $42/hour to $44/hour; the rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Job Responsibilities- Design, develop, and optimize end-to-end data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes using Azure Data services and frameworks.
- Build scalable data solutions leveraging Azure Databricks, PySpark, and Snowflake for batch and real-time data processing.
- Develop and maintain data models and schemas in relational and No
SQL databases such as Postgres and Mongo
DB. - Write efficient, reusable code in Python and SQL to transform and load data across multiple systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality data solutions.
- Monitor and improve data pipeline performance, ensuring reliability, scalability, and compliance with data governance standards.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in data engineering with strong expertise in Azure cloud services.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks, PySpark, Snowflake, and building scalable data pipelines and architectures.
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience in relational and No
SQL databases (Postgres, Mongo
DB) and ETL/ELT processes.

Pay Details: $42.00 to $44.00 per hour
