Akkodis is seeking an Azure Data Engineer for a Contract role based in Tampa, FL
. The role involves designing and building scalable data pipelines and architectures on Azure, ensuring high performance and reliability.
$42–$44 per hour, negotiable based on experience, education, and location.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and optimize end‑to‑end data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes using Azure Data services.
- Build scalable solutions with Azure Databricks, PySpark, and Snowflake for batch and real‑time processing.
- Maintain data models and schemas in relational and No
SQL databases such as Postgres and Mongo
DB. - Write efficient, reusable code in Python and SQL to transform and load data across multiple systems.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver high‑quality solutions.
- Monitor and improve pipeline performance, ensuring reliability, scalability, and compliance with governance standards.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering with strong expertise in Azure cloud services.
- Hands‑on experience with Azure Databricks, PySpark, Snowflake, and building scalable pipelines.
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience in relational and No
SQL databases (Postgres, Mongo
DB) and ETL/ELT processes.
